In order to build a significant and creative portfolio, the team members were inspired through a few articles which are ‘ Searching for Style’, ‘The Business of Fashion’ and ‘Miro Door’.

Build a Styling Portfolio Define yourself According to the article - ‘Searching for Style’, there are a few tips on starting a portfolio while studying. The author advise one to avoid including their weakness into the portfolio and only concentrating on displaying their strengths (SWIFT, 2017). To further determine what their weakness are, one can seek advice from their friend so as to assist them in mitigating it. As stated in Searching for Style.com (2012), " No one is perfect, so don't try to be and don't try to do everything yourself’’. Gain experiences To become a well-known fashion stylist, one needs to gain personal experiences by seeking for internships and volunteer opportunities with fashion magazine, studio photography, runway events and fashion consultant. This will help one to develop and strengthen personal relationship and build deeper connection with one another when starting out (SWIFT, 2017). Show your process The final result are important and this is due to the research, development, experimentation, fittings that were invested in. Each and every concept were not produce overnight and it must be done through extensive research and development, with a resolution or conclusion at the end (Searchingforstyle.com, 2012). Overall, to build a stylish portfolio, it is not as simple as it seems. It is crucial for one to know well about themselves, explore and expose to more knowledge to increase their capability. Thank you, YY
